The Koenigs Team

When you’re designing and manufacturing equipment intended to protect the lives of others, quality and reliability are everything. Colin Koenig who established the company in 1984, designed the visual field isolator that is the cornerstone of the business. Colin believed that, “If you make a good product, put your name on it and stand by it.” The Koenig “family“ continues to stand by its products.




John Koenig

General Manager


John is a mechanical engineer and experienced leader. He oversees the manufacture and marketing of the KOENIGS visual field isolators designed by his father, and his own design of IP66-rated enclosures.

John has assembled a close knit team of engineers and tradesmen who share a passion for producing quality electromechanical equipment that protects the lives of people in industry throughout the world.



Glenda Koenig

Owner/Managing Director

Glenda and her husband, Colin, started the business in 1984. Glenda has been responsible for managing the financial side of the business from its humble origins as a regional start up to a worldwide OEM business. She is semi-retired but maintains a keen interest in the growth of the business.



Steve Ellis

National BDM


Steve is a trade-qualified electrician and hazardous area specialist with qualifications in advanced wiring and industrial electronics. Steve has worked extensively in explosion protection systems in production management, installation and control, and account management. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role as national business development manager.


Kumar “Kuma“ Sathish

Operations Manager


Kuma joined the company in 2015, bringing his skills and experience in electromechanical design engineering. He is involved in new product development, as well as managing the production schedule, supervising the workshop team, and ensuring project deadlines are met and Koenigs’ quality standards are maintained.



Susan Mckinstry

Office Manager


With more than 30 years’ office experience, Susan manages the smooth day-to-day running of the admin side of the business. Susan is known for her attention to detail and her helpful and professional manner in dealing with Koenigs customers and suppliers.
